Our vision and values
Outstanding care, exceptional people, every hour of every day #WeAreEEAST
Our vision, our goals
Our vision is underpinned by four goals:
- Be an exceptional place to work, volunteer and learn
- Provide outstanding quality of care and performance
- Be excellent collaborators and innovators as system partners
- Be an environmentally and financially sustainable organisation.
Our core values

We are Accountable
We are accountable means we will do what we say we will do, and that we will be honest, even when things go wrong.
It means we want our people to collaborate with others to get the job done – from crew mate to colleagues in other teams and system partners.
It means taking responsibility for our individual wellbeing and actions. But if our people are struggling at work, we will be there for them.

We are Respectful
We are empathetic: To care for our patients, we need to be able to put ourselves in their shoes. But understanding different perspectives is also important when collaborating with colleagues in the Trust and across system partners.
We are compassionate: Caring is an important part of the ambulance service, but it doesn’t just extend to our patients. We would like our people to care about their colleagues and staff.
We are inclusive: We work with a diverse set of patients and have a diverse workforce, so being inclusive is essential to us.

We strive to be Excellent
We keep improving the way we work: We ask our people to continually improve the way they work independently and with colleagues and partners. If they can see a better way, try it or get support for it.
Develop the skills needed to do the job well: We ask our people to develop the skills they need to do the job well – be that simply keeping up to date, deepening understanding, or expanding their skills.
We act on feedback: We believe feedback is a gift, to be acted upon, even if simply understanding a different perspective.
