The East of England Ambulance Service Charity raises funds that support our staff, volunteers and the wider community.

Supporting our volunteers
When someone calls 999, community first responders (CFRs) are often first on the scene. These volunteers live locally and provide life-saving care before the ambulance arrives. Your donation funds CFR training and equipment to treat emergencies like cardiac arrests, heart attacks, and strokes.
Funding new equipment
Thanks to donations from the public, we’ve been able to buy life-saving equipment like defibrillators, new uniforms and various training aids. Your donations also ensure we’re able to improve our training and update resources, like our guidance books and textbooks for clinicians.
Staff and volunteer wellbeing support
By coast or city, EEAST's compassionate staff and volunteers are here 24/7 to care for you in emergencies. Your donations help support them in return. With your generosity, we can enhance stations, build wellbeing gardens, and offer morale-boosting support after challenging calls and stressful events.
Helping our local communities
We run various community education and training programmes across the east of England. For example, EEAST Heart teaches the public essential Basic Life Support (BLS) skills. This course is taught by qualified staff and volunteers and is completely funded by our supporters.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) is funded by the NHS and supported by its charity.
The charity is a separate entity, with the Trust acting as the corporate trustee, and is registered with the Charity Commission (Registered charity number 1047987). Funded by donations, fundraising, legacy giving, and grants, the charity enhances the Trust’s work beyond what the NHS typically provides.
