Charity campaigns
Fancy keeping fit and raising money for the East of England Ambulance Service Charity at the same time? Then this is the challenge for you.
Outrun an Ambulance campaign is a virtual challenge to 'outrun' the mileage covered by an east of England ambulance on an average shift responding to emergencies.
The challenge is designed to suit all people and all abilities. Fundraisers can choose their timeframe, up to a maximum of three months to outrun the distance by at least one mile, either individually or as part of a team. If you do not want to run, you can walk, swim, scoot, hand-cycle, or ride anything that is self-propelled!
Grace cycled 77 miles, raising over £700 for the charity
“My mum has worked for the ambulance service my whole entire life and I am very proud of what she does. I know they all work very hard and try their best to help everybody they can that’s why I want to raise money for the Ambulance Service.”

Teenager Shay, from Huntingdon, walked 37 steps every day for a month to outrun an ambulance and aid his rehabilitation! Read Shay's story.

Thank you to everyone who has knitted or crocheted hats and sent them in. We reached over an outstanding 4,000! This means we currently don't need anymore.
Because of you, premature babies across the east of England are kept warm on their journey to the hospital.
Premature babies often suffer from hypothermia as they quickly lose heat after birth. So, keeping them warm is vital for their health.
A knitted hat can help a premature baby stay warm. It improves their chances for a healthy start. However, standard baby hats are too big for them.
Thank you to all the volunteer crafters who knitted or crocheted small hats to be put on EEAST ambulances.
Guidance
The hats need to be 3-3.5 inches wide with a circumference of 7 inches. All babies’ heads are different, so these sizes are flexible, if the hats do finish smaller please still send them as we are sure to find the perfect fit.
Please send finished knitted hats to:

Together, we make a difference.
The London Landmarks Half Marathon (LLHM) is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.

The event is not your average half marathon! From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city's quirky and hidden secrets, runners get to explore the capital on a route like no other.
We have ten incredible fundraisers, sign up and in training for the 2026 LLHM. Keep and eye on their journeys on the East of England Ambulance Service Facebook page.
