People Promise Exemplar organisations

In 2024 EEAST signed up to the NHS People Promise and became an exemplar organisation, joining a mix of acute, community and mental health providers.

NHS England is working with us to deliver interventions set out in the People Promise together in one place, at the same time in order to achieve improved outcomes and optimum staff satisfaction and retention.

Only by making the People Promise a reality will the NHS become the best place to work for all – where we are part of one team that brings out the very best in each other.

In the film below, you’ll see examples from our People Promise Exemplars of how they are implementing the People Promise, with particular a focus on increasing flexible working opportunities for NHS staff, health and wellbeing and providing a comprehensive induction so that internationally recruited colleagues can have the best possible to start to their NHS careers.
