Resilience and specialist operations
Our resilience department is responsible for all emergency preparedness, resilience and responds across the six counties of the east of England.
Their role is to deal with all internal and external emergency planning and respond to significant/ major incidents and, to provide specialist advice to our command team.
Responsibilities include:
- Emergency planning
- working with outside agencies, such as Police, Fire and Rescue, Military, Coast Guard and local authorities
- preparing, writing, exercising and testing response plans internally and externally
- providing specialist advice around complex incidents.
We have a number of major incident support vehicles, strategically based across the region to provide support to front-line operations for significant/ major incidents. In support of these vehicles, we have a number of staff who have been trained to wear personal protective equipment for incidents involving hazardous environments.
