Your child’s design on our vehicles!
Date: 29 January 2025Children around the east of England region are being invited to create part of the design for our new Skoda training vehicles.
Skoda Karoqs are used to train paramedics for driving our rapid response vehicles – so that they can get to the scene of accidents and other emergencies fast, while our ambulances are on their way.
We are asking children to let their imaginations go wild and design an image to put on the rear quarter-light windows. There are eight vehicles in all, so we are inviting children to compete in two age categories.
- Up to 10 years old
- 10-16 years old
The winner in each category will see their artwork on our vehicles along with their name.
How to take part
Children are invited to design an image that best expresses what they think the ambulance service does, and what our patients would like to see when we arrive.
Competition rules
- Work must be your own and cannot be created by copying other people’s pictures or using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
- Children taking part in the competition must have parental/guardian consent to have their name and age used in any following publicity
- Work must be able to fit into the shape of the window.

As you can see in the picture above, it’s an irregular shape.
The size of the window is approximately 34 cm wide and 28 cm tall.

- Bear in mind the design will need to be reversed so that it can be put on each side of the vehicle, so don’t add any words to your image!
- Art can be supplied digitally/online or sent to us on paper. Digital images must be 300 dpi resolution so that it can be printed.
- One winner will be selected in each age category.
- A panel, including our chief executive will choose the winner in each category
- All submissions must be received by **5pm on Friday 28 February **
- The winner will be announced on our website
- The decision of the panel will be final and no correspondence will be entered into
- Please note that original artwork cannot be returned.
