One man, 255 miles, 17 ambulance stations, and a mission to make a difference
Date: 2 April 2025On 11 June 2025, Stuart Howlett has set himself the extraordinary challenge of cycling 255 miles around Norfolk in one day, raising funds for the East of England Ambulance Service Charity.
“This challenge is about more than just the miles - it's about resilience, teamwork and the unwavering commitment of our ambulance service. As a make ready supervisor at King's Lynn, I see firsthand the incredible work our crews do, always being there for people at their worst moments.
“By taking on this ride, I hope to not only raise funds but also shine a light on the dedication and strength of those on the frontline. Hopefully no blood, most definitely sweat, and possibly a few tears!''
The East of England Ambulance Service Charity said, “Stuart’s challenge is truly inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful for his support. Fundraisers like him make a huge difference, helping us go above and beyond what the NHS can fund to support ambulance staff, volunteers, patients, and local communities. His determination and drive show the power of individuals to create real, positive impact, and we’ll be cheering him on, every mile of the way.”
Stuart’s goal is to raise £5,255! Can you support his journey? Donate to Stuart’s JustGiving page. Every donation, big or small will go towards supporting the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust volunteers, staff, patients and communities and make a difference.
