Our media team

Our communications team runs a media desk for enquiries from local, regional and national media.

Media enquiries

The media desk is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Outside of these hours, an on-call service is provided. Please note, this is only for major and critical incidents and enquires that have significant public interest. We will respond to other enquiries during normal working hours.

EEAST has a duty of care to its patients and their right to privacy extends to our responses to media enquiries. We are unable to provide details of callouts to private residences or general sightings of ambulances or air ambulances. We also cannot provide updates on the condition of patients who are no longer in our care.

We may have to liaise with other agencies on some incidents, including when a patient has died, before we can provide a response.

If an incident is attracting significant interest, we may post updates on our social media channels or website to keep the media and public informed.

Interview and filming requests should be emailed to media@eastamb.nhs.uk..
